Frequently Asked Questions

  • What silver polish does Affordable Silver use?
We use Howards Silver Polish and offer it in our store. When polishing your silver, use a clean, dry, white, soft cotton cloth or an old tee-shirt. Do not use chemicals such as Tarnax or baking soda on silver. These can bleach your silver, causing irreparable damage. Avoid over-polishing.
  • Are your items guaranteed to be authentic in both silver quality (i.e 925 Sterling, 800/830/835European) and Original Manuacture Product
Yes, we test and verify all of our silver items and gurantee them to be both authentic and of the silver quality stated. We DO NOT engage in selling "Custom Made" pieces or "Knock Offs." We have never sold anything but authentic silver in our 20 years of business.
  • How can I find out what I have?
If you can still see markings on the silver pieces, you can either contact us with a picture of the markings and items, or you can look them up on websites like www.925-1000.com or SILVER HALLMARKS: STERLING, SILVERPLATE, ELECTROPLATE, SHEFFIELD (silvercollection.it).
