A collection of examples of the sterling silverware we sell

About Us

Affordable Sterling has been in business for almost 20 years as a leading buyer and seller of high-quality silver items with over 10,000 transactions, maintaining a 100% positive feedback rating. While we specialize in sterling silver (92.5% pure), we also deal with amazing silver from around the world ranging in purity from 75% to 99.99% pure silver as well as a handful of silver-plated items.

Our mission is to offer our customers a unique experience in purchasing silver. We pride ourselves on being the “right size” such that we are not only providing the best product quality at the best price, but we also enjoy educating our customers on the history of the silver item or the types of patterns and sizes that were made. These customers end up having a better appreciation for what they have and what they want.

Since price is very important, we focus our efforts paying sellers more and selling to buyers at affordable prices. Most silver is bought and sold to either large players, auctions, or pawn/jewelry shops.  None of these are the best venues for public buying or selling silver. Large players pay ½ the silver value and mark it up 400%+ because they have huge overhead and owners to enrich. Auctions are “crap shoots” and you pay a 25% - 30% premium to purchase, which lowers the bid to sellers and overcharges the buyers. Then you have pawn and jewelry shops that may pay 50% to 70% of the value, but they will scrap/melt over 90% of what they take in. Not the best way to treat your family heirlooms!

We at Affordable Sterling believe that your family heirlooms need a second chance at life.  Most people forget that much of the silver out there was handcrafted by artisans decades and even centuries ago. They are a living history of bygone eras and a beautiful addition to your home. Therefore, we buy, refurbish, polish, and do what is necessary to bring back the beauty and luster at a very reasonable price so that future generations can continue to enjoy these pieces of history.
